Halle Shannon is a senior in chemical engineering at the University of Kentucky. Upon graduation, she will receive certificates in Environmental Engineering and Lean Systems, as well as a certificate from the Power and Energy Institute of Kentucky. She has been involved with research regarding the stressors and coping strategies that engineers develop to manage their mental health. She hopes that by understanding the stress that her peers face, she will serve as a more empathetic and effective leader.
